Rewa Ultra Mega Solar is a planned solar power plant in Madhya Pradesh's Rewa district, with a total installed solar capacity of 750 MW. One of India, among the world's largest single-site solar power plants.Here are some facts about the solar power project
- The Solar Park was built by Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Limited (RUMSL) over a total area of 1500 hectares. RUMSL is a joint venture between SECI and Madhya Pradesh UrjaVikas Nigam Limited (MPUVN) and Solar Energy Corporation of India.
- Following the Solar Park construction, RUMSL selected ACME Jaipur Solar Power Private Limited, Mahindra Renewables Private Limited, and Arinsun Clean Energy Private Limited to build three solar generating units within the Solar Park via reverse auction.
- The Center has given an amount of Rs 138 crore to RUMSL for Solar Park development.
- It is the first such solar project by India to crack the barrier to grid parity. The Solar project in Rewa achieved the first year tariff of Rs 2.97 per unit compared with the tariffs of the prevailing solar project in early 2017 of about Rs 4.50 per unit. It also showed a tariff escalation of Rs 0,05 per unit over a 15-year period and a levelized Rs 3,30 per unit over a 25-year period
- This exemplifies the nation 's dedication to achieving the renewable energy capability built goal of 175 GW by 2022. This includes a solar installed capacity of 100 GW.
- The project of Rewa Solar Power is projected to reduce carbon emissions by about 15 lakh tons of CO2 per annum.

- The Rewa Solar Power project has won the World Bank Group President's Award for its creativity and excellence.
- It's also the first clean energy initiative outside the state to deliver electricity to an institutional client. The Delhi Metro will receive 24 per cent of energy from the network, while the remaining 76 per cent will be supplied to Madhya Pradesh 's state DISCOMs.
