Onam, the state of Kerala 's annual harvest festival, is being celebrated by Malayalis worldwide with great pomp and gaiety.Onam 2020 is on 30 August, Wednesday and thiruvonam in August 31.Onam festival continues for ten days, beginning on Atham Day and culminating on Thiru Onam. The most important days for Onam festivities are Atham and Thiru Onam. Thiru Onam corresponds to the Shravan day in the month of August or September, therefore it is also called Sravanotsavam.
There are certain dates considered important when Onam is celebrated by Malayalis 10 days. Onam has a total of four big days. 30, 31,august, 1 and 2 September should be appropriate days and should be very popular for the celebrations.
