On Tuesday, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) announced the results of the 2019 Civil Services test, with Haryana's Pradeep Singh.Pradeep Singh toping the list of 829 qualified candidates for different services like the IAS, the IPS and the IFS.

Jatin Kishore and Pratibha Verma bagged the second and third positions, respectively, according to an official statement released by the UPSC. Pratibha Verma who comes from Uttar Pradesh, is the top candidate among successful women.According to the document, 304 come from the General category, 78 from the Economically Weaker Section (EWS), 251 from the Other Backward Classes (OBC), 129 from the Scheduled Castes (SC) and 67 from the Scheduled Tribes (ST) .

Within the reserve list a total of 182 other candidates were placed.The review of civil services is conducted annually in three phases — preliminary, main and interview — to select applicants for the country's top civil services.
