The Korean carmaker managed to sell a total of 4,458, 11,382 and 18,372 units respectively during the months of May, June, and July 2020, totaling 34,212 units sold in Q1 FY2020-21.
In the same time period, Maruti Suzuki managed to sell 32,577 utility vehicles while Mahindra sold 22,477 utility vehicles in total.During this time Hyundai sold 1,635 more utility vehicles than Maruti Suzuki, and 11,735 more than Mahindra. Hyundai has a total of four SUVs, namely Venue, Creta, Kona Electric and Tucson.
The new Hyundai cars, the next car to be released by the company, is likely to be the new-gen i20, which is expected to be launched this Year. Unofficial bookings have reportedly already begun for the new-gen premium hatch.
