Ford has unveiled a new teaser of Electric Ford F-150 Pickup Truck. It will be developed at the Rouge Electric Vehicle Center of the American Automotive Major in Detroit , Michigan. The zero-emission F-150 will be produced in the factory by mid-2022, yet no official details of the pickup truck are available right now. Currently, hours of "torture testing" are ongoing and millions of stimulated, real-world and laboratory testing miles are targeted.
In terms of performance, Ford uses two electric motors for the F-150 EV and it is claimed that they have more power and torque in comparison with the new IC-engine F-150.
As it claims to tow heavy trailers with faster acceleration time, the performance features allowed by electrical propulsion are increased by towing power. In addition, the trunk capacity also will increase, with the updated SYNC system and OTR enhancements enhanced communication features in the F-150 EV.
A pickup truck is definitely costly and there would be no exception to this rule in the electric variant of the F-150. We foresee a starting price of sub $100,000, but this is merely a guess at this point in time. We do not expect the F-150 EV to come close to matching the Tesla Cybertruck's $40,000 base price.
