Bollywood star Akshay Kumar unveiled a home-grown competitor named FAU-G (Fearless and United: Guards) two days after the government announced a decision to ban PUBG MOBILE, a wildly popular online multiplayer shooting game, along with more than 118 Chinese apps amid renewed border tension.
"Supporting PM @narendramodi's AtmaNirbhar movement, proud to present an action game, Fearless And United-Guards FAU-G. Besides entertainment, players will also learn about the sacrifices of our soldiers. 20% of the net revenue generated will be donated to @BharatKeVeer Trust #FAUG " Akshay Kumar said in fb post.
The game is based on actual scenarios of domestic and international threats faced by the Indian Security Forces according to nCore. Players will be able to collaborate and battle inside teams of five.
The game is expected to launch at the end of October with its first level set in the backdrop of Galwan Valley, followed in subsequent releases by a third person shooting gameplay. The game is available from the Google Play Store and from the Apple App Store.
