Honda is expected to launch a new bike that is likely to be named Highness in India on september 30.Honda is launching this cruiser bike to compete with Royal Enfield 's Bullet 350 and Classic 350.Royal Enfield has been practically unchallenged for a long , long time, and the competition only ended when the Jawa came out. Then came the Benelli Imperiale 400, which added to the section, and now we have the Honda Highness.
In the recent past the media invite has shown the motorcycle's exhaust note and it looks like something really new from Honda in India. It could be an all-new product that has been produced exclusively for the Indian market that would be based on the HONDA Rebel. It could draw inspiration from the CB motorcycle range of the company for its design, even with more chrome to create retro aesthetics.
As far as the design is concerned, the bike should have a round headlamp, which should be an all-LED system. In addition, a curved fuel tank is provided and the company will provide a single-seat bike that will hold the rear seat as an extra accessory.
A single-cylinder engine with liquid-cooled technology is likely to be received, and the engine displacement may be between 300 cc and 500 cc. To be included in the kit, expect modern driver assistance, tubeless tyres, alloy wheels and an analogue / digital tool console. The front forks upside-down, monoshock rear suspension, ABS dual-channel.
For a price of under Rs 2.5 lakh (ex-showroom), the Honda Highness is scheduled to go on sale.
