Kali Yuga is the last of the four phases that the world passes through (Krita Yuga, Treta Yuga, and Dvapara Yuga) as part of the yugas mentioned in the Hindu texts.Krishna 's departure, according to Hinduism, marks the end of Dvapara Yuga and the start of Kali Yuga.

Kedareshwar Cave Temple , kali yuga

At Harishchandragad, a hill fort in Ahmednagar district, Kedareshwar Cave Temple is situated. Though the Linga was surrounded by four pillars, there is only one pillar intact now. Some assume that the pillars are yuga or time symbols, namely, Satya, Treta, Dvapara and the Kali Yuga.

Kali Yuga, according to Surya Siddhanta, started at midnight on 18 February 3102 BCE.The date on which Krishna left the earth to return to Vaikuntha is considered.

The first and most critical one is the Satya Yuga. In this age, awareness, meditation, and penance hold special significance.Satya Yuga lasts 1,728,000 years, or 4800 divine years, sometimes referred to as the "Golden Age".

Treta Yuga is the second of the four yugas. In Sanskrit, Treta means 'a set of three exciting things'.The name may also be derived from the fact that 3,600 divine years, or 1,296,000 human years, lasted in the Treta Yuga. The strength of human beings decreases marginally throughout the Treta Yuga. Instead of using mere fiat of will, kings and Brahmins need to consciously satisfy their desires. People are becoming more materialistic and less spiritually inclined. Wars have frequently broken out and climate changes have become commonplace, generating deserts and oceans.

Dwapara Yuga, the third of four Yugas, is the Dvapara Yuga that lasts 864,000 years, or 2400 divine years, according to the Bhagavata Purana. All individuals in the Dvapara Yuga are eager to attain the scriptural dharma prescribed by each class, courageous, courageous and competitive by nature and engaged only in penance and charity.

In the Kali Yuga, Hindus believe that human civilization degenerates spiritually. Spiritual bankruptcy, mindless hedonism, the breakdown of all social structures, greed and materialism, unrestricted egotism, mental and body illnesses and diseases are common attributes and consequences.

Kali is Kali Yuga 's reigning lord and his nemesis is Kalki, Vishnu 's tenth and final Avatar. Kali is a negative manifestation, according to the Vishnu Purana, working towards the cause of the end or rather towards the eventual rejuvenation of the universe.
