Complete specifications and details of the upcoming Aprilia RS 660 sports bike were unveiled by Aprilia ahead of its global launch in Italy. The Aprilia RS 660 will be the first model on the new middleweight platform of the Italian brand, and was unveiled as a design at the 2018 EICMA show in Milan , Italy.
The RS 660 's twin-cylinder engine is derived from the two front cylinders of the Aprilia RSV4 1100cc V4 engine and also borrows styling signals from the RSV4 1100 with its own special, compact look.
With a kerb weight of 183 kg, the Aprilia RS 660 is powered by a 659 cc, liquid-cooled forward-facing parallel-twin engine that produces 100 bhp of maximum power at 10,500 rpm and 67 Nm of peak torque at 8,500 rpm.The same engine will be used in future models such as the Tuono 660, Tuareg 660 and even the RS Trofeo track-spec.
A triple LED headlight assembly, daytime running lights and flanked by a double fairing with integrated aerodynamic characteristics for both trim weight and drag are featured in the Aprilia RS 660.
The Aprilia RS 660 electronics package includes a 6-axis IMU along with five riding modes, ABS cornering, traction control and wheelie control as well. In addition, you also get a bi-directional fast-shifter and cruise control. In three colours, namely Lava Red, Black Apex and Acid Gold, the Aprilia RS 660 was revealed.
