There are always rumours about closing down FARMVILLE game. The news comes after the giant Adobe software recently announced a new option for all web browsing companies to stop distributing their Flash Player. As Adobe Flash Player is needed by FarmVille, this year, it will not be playable after 31 December.
Besides FarmVille, a number of Flash Player games, such as Fun Math Games, have shut down this year, but there has been also some rejection. Some reports about the game not working or being down have been complaints, but FarmVille is still on Facebook for a bit longer.
Back in 2009, FarmVille launched on Facebook, when even Facebook was only rising in popularity. The casual title of the game then evolved alongside Facebook, giving rise to the genre of MMORPG and numerous other games.
By the end of this year, web browsers like Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox and Apple's Safari will also dump Flash support. Zynga said it plans to soon release a new version of the game called FarmVille 3 on mobile platforms, and FarmVille 2 was also released on mobile devices.
“We’re aware that many of you have been with us since the very beginning, helping to build an incredible global community of players over the years who’ve enjoyed this game just as much as we have. For that we say thank you,” said Zynga.
83 million This is the total number of FarmVille 's monthly players who were involved at the height of their success in 2010 a year later.
