Google has sent notices for its in-app gamification functionality from Zomato and Swiggy food delivery applications reportedly violating Play Store guidelines.Just days after Paytm has been removed and then restored to the Play Store.

Now Google is allegedly sending notices for in-app promotions related to IPL 2020 to food supply platforms Swiggy and Zomato. "We are a small company and have already realigned our business strategy to comply with Google’s guidelines. We will be replacing Zomato Premier League with a more exciting program by this weekend " Zomato spokesperson told. The spokesperson added that by the weekend Zomato Premier League would be replaced by another programme.

Swiggy, on the other hand, refused to make an official statement but the company spokesman said that its in-app gamification promotion was temporarily suspended. There is no further word as to whether the company is also intending to replace it completely like its competitor.

The things come a few weeks after Google has removed the Paytm app from the Play Store because it is claimed to breach its anti-gambling policies in India. However, following contentious talks between the two firms, the app was only reinstated on the platform a few hours later.
