In India, LG has sent out invites for the launch of the LG Wing swivel screen phone. The South Korean company first launched it globally last month, and now, on October 28, it is bringing the device to India.
The LG Wing smartphone emerged from the ambitious 'Explorer Project' of the company. It brings with it a brand new and distinctive style.
The Wing, this year's flagship smartphone from LG, is a special dual-screen system with a main display swivelling sideways to expose a secondary, smaller screen below.
Users would not face any interference with the notifications because of the secondary display and they are left with a more interactive experience. The phone has GPS navigation so that after capturing them directly on the secondary screen , users can edit the videos directly while handling incoming alerts on the smaller screen.
Similar to dual-screen smartphones, the basic concept behind the LG Wing is Similar to many phones, it has a 6.8-inch main OLED screen. But when the entire front screen rotates 90 degrees clockwise, unleashing a 3.9-inch square-shaped secondary screen, things get interesting. There is also a hydraulic damper, when controlled, to minimise shocks.
The LG Wing features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 G SoC with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB or 256 GB of internal storage.
It is the first smartphone featuring a motorised pop-up module from LG. A single 32-megapixel selfie camera is available. We get a triple-camera configuration mounted vertically in a rectangular camera module on the back.
The three cameras consist of a main 64-megapixel camera, which is further combined with an ultra-wide 12-megapixel camera with swivel mode support for photo-taking when the screen is rotated, and a second ultra-wide 13-megapixel camera.
