Manjusha art form is the one of the popular artform of Bihar.In Bhagalpur(bihar), this art has been prevalent for a long time.They are boxes in the form of temples containing eight pillars. They are made of bamboo, jute and paper.
It was used in the August month of Bihula-Vishahri Pooja, a festival dedicated to the Snake God, held in Bhagalpur(Bihar). It's one of art's most ancient and historically most significant.The central character of Bihula's tale of love and sacrifice is often referred to as Snake Paintings by foreigners as swirling snakes in the art.
Just two families, the Kumbhakar caste and the Malakar caste, carved the art in earlier times. Earlier, these paintings were drawn on pots worshipped by Kumbhakar. And the caste of Malakar renders the real "Manjusha" and paints on these constructs the art of Manjusha.
Three colours are primarily used in Manjusha paintings: pink, green , and yellow.This clothes painting is also going to be expressed now. New and diverse designs would have taken place and it certainly attracted people, from sarees and salwar suits to shirts.
