The Lumix S5 mirrorless camera was introduced today by Panasonic in India. In the S-series, it is a modern "hybrid" camera that is said to provide equally good performance for stills and video work.
Designed with full die-cast magnesium alloy, the Lumix S5 is resistant to both water and dust.A 24.2-megapixel full-frame image sensor is used in the Panasonic LUMIX S5. When shooting images, the LUMIX S5 offers ISOs of up to 51200, with dual native ISOs of 640 and 4,000 to minimise noise within the range. Camera users get in-body image stabilisation (IBIS) with up to 5 speed stops with the S5 camera model.
Panasonic attempts to fix the criticisms of previous S range cameras with this model, namely how big, heavy and costly they were, along with their slightly lackluster autofocus.
A 3-inch, fully articulated rear LCD touchscreen features the Panasonic Lumix S5, along with an electronic viewfinder with a resolution of 2.36 million dots. 4 K 60fps 4:2:0 10 bit video and 4 K 30fps 4:2:2 10 bit video can be taken, all internally. The Lumix S5 can record 4 K 60fps 4:2:2 10-bit video over HDMI-out.Two SD card slots, one UHS-I and one UHS-II, and a 2200mAh battery, which can be charged via USB-C, are other features.
The Lumix S5 is available with a new 20-60 mm F3.5-5.6 L-mount zoom lens (S-R2060), which the company is releasing with the camera, for Rs. 1,64,900 (body only) or Rs. 1,89,900. At Panasonic brand stores and at Panasonic 4 K Imaging School, both will be available.
