Truecaller will now let you know why you are being called by others. As the app has introduced a new "Call Reason" feature. This new feature would allow the user to set a purpose for a particular call so that the recipient knows why the other person is calling.
After its debut in July 2009, the company has updated its caller ID features, which is the heart and soul of the app, with a feature called Call Purpose. The new feature allows users to set a purpose for their call, as its name suggests, and allows the receiver to check whether the incoming call is personal, business, or something very urgent. With the addition of Schedule SMS and SMS Translate functionality, Truecaller has also updated its messaging experience.
“We’ve been seeing tweets and messages from you telling us that you wanted to know why people were calling. It’s clearly a great idea, so we made it happen.” A blog post was published by the company on its official website.
Although Truecaller 's Call Reason is an enormous value addition, hoping that this will lead to an improvement in call pick-up rates, Google is already facing competition in this feature. A Checked Calls feature was previously announced by the search engine giant, which it will integrate in its default Google Phone app after the testing is complete.
According to the blog post, Truecaller has an idea of how the features can enhance their contact with the company. Next year, clients of the Truecaller Priority and checked companies will be able to set their clients a Call Purpose.
