Whatsapp Pay was authorised by the National Payments Corporation of India to be introduced in India. In the first section, NPCI approved 20 million Whatsapp Pay users.
How to use WhatsApp Pay?
- You need to update your Whatsapp app from the Play Store, first of all.
- On your phone, open the WhatsApp app and tap the three-pointed icon in the upper right corner of the screen.
- In the list, you will see a choice for payment.
- The Payment window will open; click on Add a new form of payment.
- click on accept.
- A list of bank names will be given to you.
- Your number (linked with the bank) will be checked after selecting the name of the bank. You have to tap Verify via SMS for this. Make sure that the WhatsApp number is similar to the one associated with your bank account.
- You will then need to finish setting up payments once the authentication process is done. Similar to how it is on other applications, you will need to set a UPI pin for carrying out transactions. You will be able to see the chosen bank on the payments page after this.
How to send money on WhatsApp Pay?
- Open the individual's WhatsApp chat and go to the attachment icon.
- Tap Payment and add the payment you want the person to submit. One may add a note as well.
- You need to enter your UPI PIN to complete the WhatsApp payment procedure. You will get a confirmation message once the transaction is done.
