It is rumoured that Samsung will host the Galaxy S21 launch event sometime in January 2021. Three new smartphones are expected to be unveiled by the South Korean tech giant under the Galaxy S21 series, namely the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 Plus and Galaxy S21 Ultra. In October, pictures of the Samsung Galaxy S21 series were posted to the site.

The Galaxy S21 Ultra is tipped to get a 108-megapixel camera powered by a single-pixel 0.8um Isocell HM3 sensor from Samsung. It is anticipated that the Isocell HM3 sensor will be smaller and good than the Isocell HM1. The tipster says that it is expected that the phone will get laser focus along with the 108MP sensor. The phone will not, however, come with a sensor for time-of-flight.

The Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra and Note 20 Ultra come with a 2 K panel supporting a refresh rate of 120Hz. However, you are required to scale the resolution down to Full HD+ or HD+ if you want to use a 120Hz refresh rate. At QHD+ resolution, the 2020 Samsung flagship smartphones support only 60Hz.

The Galaxy S21 Ultra will get a triple-rear camera setup consisting of a 108-megapixel sensor, a 16-megapixel sensor and a 12-megapixel sensor, a separate report by tipster Ishan Agarwal states. The phone is tipped on the front in order to get a 40-megapixel selfie camera.
