The Indian market has eagerly awaited the launch of the Aprilia SXR 160, primarily because it will be India's first proper maxi-style scooter.
Recently, a few days ago the Italian two-wheeler brand started accepting bookings for the upcoming power scooter at a token amount of Rs 5000. The company said that deliveries of the e-scooter will commence soon.
The dealer already has a scooter in the showroom, but the customer is starting a test drive. Although not officially released yet, dealer sources say the Aprilia SXR 160 is priced at Rs 10,000. While waiting for the official launch, the design rendering of the SXR160 as an electric scooter was released online.
We already know that Piaggio’s new electric scooter will certainly be on the card in the future as the company recently submitted a trademark it named. “ESR1”.. So, given that the SXR 160 is the latest product from the Piaggio Group and could serve as an inspiration for the design of the next eSR1, it’s worth imagining the SXR 160 with an electric powertrain.
