One of the country's first Japanese two-wheeler makers was the Meguro motorcycle. From the year 1937 to the year 1960, the company produced motorcycles under the Meguro brand name. Meguro was established in Japan in 1937, and a few years later, it partnered with Kawasaki Heavy Industries.
Kawasaki has attempted to put Meguro back in the hearts of old-time Japanese bike enthusiasts for 2021, who still fondly recall the brand's heyday. The first new bike from Meguro will be the K3, based entirely on the Kawasaki W800. The predecessor of the W800, the W650, had its concept influenced by the Meguro K1, which was a licenced copy of the BSA A7 itself.
As well as the latest Meguro K3, the Kawasaki W800 sold in India looks oh-so-British. There is a 360-degree crank offset for the 773cc parallel-twin engine, delivering 52PS and 62Nm, about the same output as the BS6 W800.
