Highly-anticipated film 'Master' starring Thalapathy Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi, which released on January 13, 2021 and became the first film to hit theatres this year amid the COVID-19 pandemic, has become a target of piracy sites such as Tamilrockers and Telegram among others, as per reports.
The Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial, which has been garnering much praise and has been doing well at the box office, is available in HD quality for free download. And, it is anticipated that the leak might affect the film's box office business and in turn, the collections.
For the unversed, earlier, a few clips of Vijay from the film had leaked online before the movie hit theatres. Following that episode, the makers requestedfans to not share the leaked clips. Lokesh Kanagaraj tweeted, "Dear all it’s been a 1.5-year-long struggle to bring Master to u. All we have is hope that you'll enjoy it in theatres. If u come across leaked clips from the movie, please don’t share it. Thank u all. Love u all. One more day and #Master is all yours. (sic)”
Earlier, films and web series like 'AK vs AK', 'Laxmii', 'Ashram 2', 'Money Heist', 'The Lion King', 'Frozen 2', have all been target of piracy.
