Kinnaur Kailash : The meeting place for Shiva and Parvati

According to Hindu Epics this is a very sacred place in the Indian Himalayas as it is associated with Prabhu Shiva and Mata Parvati. A natural pond/Kund near Kinnar Kailash peak, known as Parvati Kund, is considered to be a creation of Goddess Parvati. She worshipped here for a long time. It is also the meeting place for Shiva and Parvati .

Kinnaur holds utmost religious significance for ardent devotees of Lord Shiva because it is home to a 79-foot-tall shivalinga. On a clear day, the Shivlingam can be seen, which changes color during the day.

Tangling village is the starting point for the Kinner Kailash trek. It's near to Recong Peo, the Kinnaur District's headquarters in Himachal Pradesh. By car/taxi, one can enter Tangling by crossing a bridge near Shogtong, 4 kilometers before Powari. Tangling is located on the Sutlej's left bank.
