By scanning the QR Code with the UPI App, you will be able to withdraw cash from an ATM without using a Debit Card in no time. NCR Corporation, an ATM firm, recently released the first interoperable cardless cash withdrawal (ICCW) solution based on the UPI platform to help with this.
The City Union Bank has collaborated with NCR Corporation to install these ICCW-based ATMs. More than 1500 ATMs have been upgraded so far, with work underway to update additional ATMs as quickly as possible.
Unified Payments Interface is a real-time payment system that allows you to instantly transfer money from one bank account to another via a mobile app. To do this, you need to link your bank account to the UPI app. You can operate many bank accounts with one UPI app and send money in seconds. In the beginning, you will be able to withdraw only Rs 5,000 at a time like this.
How to withdraw cash from ATM using Google Pay, Paytm
- To withdraw money from the ATM, first, you have to open any UPI app (GPay, BHIM, Paytm, Phonepe, Amazon) on the smartphone.
- The QR code displayed on the ATM display should then be scanned.
- After the scanning is finished, you must enter the amount you want to withdraw and then press the Proceed button.
- You will then be asked for a 4 or 6-digit UPI PIN, which you will get from the cash ATM.
